It’s been 10 years… :) When in 2003 small group of people got an idea to start playing curling in Katowice, everybody were looking at them with indulgent smile. But now, after 10 years we can say, that this crazy idea worked out, and curling become well-established winter sport in Katowice. 10 years mean lots of people who did catch curling bug for shorter or longer time, but it’s thanks to them that our sport discipline is no longer anonymous in Silesia and could expand its territory.
To celebrate 10 years of Silesian Curling Club, a Black Stone Trophy will take place at the Jantor ice rink on 26th to 28th of April. A curling stone made of coal will be the main trophy, the only such stone in the world :).
Number of teams in the tournament – max 30, entry fee is 400PLN. We guarantee 4 games for each team and good fun off the ice.
Entry list opens on January 15th and closes March 17th. Please send your application together with skip’s name to turniej [at] skc.katowice.pl (turniej[at]skc[dot]katowice[dot]pl). Soon, more details to follow on Tournament’s web page.
