Ventspils Cup 2026

We are delighted to invite you to the 23rd Ventspils Cup International Curling Tournament, which will take place 21–23 August 2026 in Ventspils, Latvia, at the ice hall of the Ventspils Olympic Centre.

The tournament is organised by the Ventspils Curling Club in cooperation with the Ventspils Olympic Centre. We warmly welcome teams from Latvia and abroad to enjoy a weekend of great curling, friendly competition, and a relaxed atmosphere by the Baltic Sea.

Ventspils is a beautiful seaside city on the Baltic coast, known for its sandy beaches, parks, and welcoming atmosphere for visiting teams.

Tournament format

The tournament will host 16–20 teams, with each team guaranteed five games. Teams may consist of up to five players. Games will be played over a maximum of eight ends with a time limit. The tournament will begin on the morning of Friday, 21 August, and conclude with the award ceremony on Sunday evening, 23 August.

Social event

A banquet with dinner and a welcome drink will take place on Saturday evening.

Entry fee

The participation fee is 380 EUR per team (Saturday banquet and dinner included).

Early bird registration:
350 EUR per team for payments made by 1 June 2026.

The deadline for applications is 3 August 2026.
If the tournament becomes full earlier, teams will be placed on a waiting list.

Accommodation

Accommodation is available at the athletes' hotel at the Ventspils Olympic Centre, located just 200 m from the ice hall. Teams are also welcome to choose other accommodation in Ventspils.
